All of our wedding packages at Sunset Ranch include what we refer to as the ‘ten core elements’. Our Standard and Signature package offerings are meant to provide a range of cost for these ten elements. The Standard includes everything you need for a beautiful event; The Signature includes everything you need for a beautiful event PLUS all of the bells and whistles. You can secure The Standard and upgrade; you can secure The Signature and downgrade.
Planning a wedding can be overwhelming, with so many details to consider and decisions to make. Our Package Coordination team is here to help you. Here are some answers to frequently asked questions about Sunset Ranch:
Absolutely! We work with you throughout the planning process to design and create a wedding that is tailored to you. While we work with select vendors who we consider the best on Oahu, our packages provide flexibility through: (1) finalization of invoicing to your exact final head count, (2) customizations by element (floral is always customized), and (3) full category credits (you don’t need an officiant? No problem, we credit it back to you on your final invoice). Every wedding is unique and we do our best to design and create your special day to you vision.
Hawaii is a busy wedding destination year-round. That said, ‘busy season’ at Sunset Ranch (and most all venues) is technically March through October. Busy ‘booking’ season is November through February. We open our calendar based on lead flow. Based on demand, we take bookings anywhere from two weeks out to 18 to 24 months out. We highly recommend you consider a courtesy hold at Sunset Ranch if you plan to get married within the next two years. There is no financial or contractual obligation to do so, and it affords you a first right of refusal. If someone else wants your date, we first contact you to see if you want to officially book it. If yes, great. If no, we release the date to the other interested couple.
If you’ve already had a Zoom meeting or Site Visit with Sunset Ranch staff and are ready to book, here are the next steps to secure a date:
We work with an event management company to secure discounted room rates for our clients, often securing rates below what they are able to get on their own. You can choose any hotel on Oahu. We normally recommend one that might be more of a resort offering, and one a little more budget friendly. We start the process to secure room blocks shortly after you book with us. This allows you to include hotel room blocks in your invitations to guests. We also stage all transport to and from hotel accommodations. Remember, all transport is included in our packages.
Great question! We have a Plan B for each and every event at Sunset Ranch. At 30 days out, we review a map of our venues with you and finalize all event uses at each venue. Remember, at Sunset Ranch you have exclusive access to six different venues. We host no other activity on the day of your event. Once venues are selected and finalized, we discuss a plan with you in the event of weather. Having hosted over 1400 events at Sunset Ranch, we have seen most everything and we have great options. Our number one goal is to give you peace of mind that everything will be great, regardless of the weather!
Great news, we don’t charge any! We believe tips should be EARNED. Imagine that. Today hotels and other venues are charging anywhere between 18% and 28%. While we provide guidance, by vendor, if you feel they are so deserving, tips are completely at your discretion. We are grateful to all of our clients, and if they tip us it is because they are happy with our service. And that is our ultimate goal.
